Stephen Arcade On March 3, 2008 Stephen Arcade went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Steve and his wife Kathi lived 22 years in Orange County before moving to Murrieta, CA in 2001. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed. Steve is survived by his wife Kathleen Arcade, his four children; sons, Mark Arcade (spouse Lisa), Greg Arcade (spouse Sada), and daughters, Stephanie Mayo (spouse David), and Ann Garlatta (spouse Frank) and thirteen grandchildren; Also his brothers; John, Joe, and Frank Arcade and sisters; Fran Anton and Cecelia Hood. |

Mrs Elizabeth Berger Porter (Class Advisor) and regular class reunion attendee. Elizabeth 'Betty' Berger Porter of Newtown, Pa., formerly of Doylestown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 in Pennswood Village, Newtown. She was 97. Born in 1918 in Lumberville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rebecca 'Reba' A.H. Berger and Henry J. Berger. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Porter, who came to the United States from County Donegal in Ireland. Betty was a 1935 graduate of Doylestown High School, where she was valedictorian of the class. She received a B.S. degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and later received a M.S. degree from the same institution. Her first job was teaching English at Doylestown High School and later as a guidance counselor and class advisor for Central Bucks High School. Betty was awarded 'The Oscar for Teacher Award' in 1957. For many years, she taught English as a second language to the Polish Priests and Brothers at The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Betty was also a member of the VITA Board of Directors in 1991. Her Christian faith was the driving force in all areas of her life. She was an active and involved member of the Doylestown Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. While there, she was in charge of the 'Beginners Department,' a group of 40-45 children, and also served as an Elder, Deacon, Clerk of Session, Bethel Bible Teacher and was a member of the Samaritan Class (which her mother founded). When she transferred membership to The Anchor Presbyterian Church in Wrightstown, Betty continued to be active, even preaching on occasion. Betty was deeply involved with Girl Scouts in Buckingham and was a co-leader with of Troop No. 38 with Mary Decoursey for 20 years. Some of the members have continued to meet two times a year and in August 2012, received an award in recognition of the troop's longevity over 67 years. Her enthusiasm for travel took her all over the world from Europe to Mongolia to China, India, Papua, New Guinea, Australia and more. She moved to Pennswood Village. located in Newtown, in 1990 and served as a resident member of the Corporate Board and also as a member of the Pennswood Resident Board. Betty was a true Renaissance woman who lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine. Betty is survived by several cousins and many of Tom's relatives in Ireland. Betty will be sadly missed by her family and many dear friends. She was very grateful for all the loving care she received from the nursing staff at Pennswood Village these last two months and for the many visits from her friends.

Walter E. Bissonnette Walter Edward Bissonnette of Point Pleasant passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Elizabeth and Firmin Bissonnette. He graduated from Central Bucks High School in Doylestown, Class of 1956. He was a self-employed remodeling contractor of Walter Bissonnette and Sons, since 1966. He built his own home in Point Pleasant in 1958, where he loved entertaining family and friends. Walter was an avid scuba diver; loved traveling, dancing, and gardening; and enjoyed having a good time. He was a longtime member of the Tohickon Lions Club, having served as a past president and in other capacities in District 14A. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lee Bissonnette; his children, Michael of Doylestown, Carl of Denver, Colo., David and his wife, Randi, of Bedminster, and Eric of Lebanon, Pa.; his granddaughter, Lauren Doerfler; his stepchildren, Marlene Dryden and her husband, Tom, of Doylestown, Sharon and her husband, Walter, of Cape Coral, Fla., and Susan Berry and her husband, Keith, of Dublin; and his step-grandchildren, Katelyn Fisher, Tyler Dryden, Olivia and Nolan Berry; his brother, Daniel Bissonnette; and nieces and nephews. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, June Schmidt Bissonnette, and his daughter, Laura Doerfler. |

Paul Bodine Pino Suarez 360, Apt. 9 Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco 48300 Mexico After graduating from Penn I went to Navy OCS in Newport, RI. I spent 3 years on antisubmarine warfare destroyers as the ASW officer (my guys got one of the 3 Soviet subs forced to surface during the Cuban missile crisis). When I left the service I went to Wharton Grad and was recruited by IBM in my last semester. From IBM I took a staff position at Sperry Univac in Blue Bell where I was asked to go to San Francisco to run one of their West Coast operations. I spent the rest of my working years in the computer business, retiring in 1994. In CA I lived mostly in Sausalito, much of that time on my boat in Saus., and worked in the SF Financial District-a short commute by ferry. I was tired of the Bay Area weather and moved to Puerto Vallarta in 1995. It's tropical here and we really have only 2 seasons, with brief spells between |

Barbara Buchanan Jampo Barbara Ann Jampo, formerly of Sellersville, PA, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020, at the Pocopson Home, West Chester, PA. She was 81. She was the wife of the late Dominic N. Jampo who died September 28, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Vivian (Tricebock) Buchanan. She was a 1956 graduate of Central Bucks High School, Doylestown, PA. A homemaker, Barbara also worked as a seamstress privately from her home. She was well-known in the Bucks County area for her slipcover-making and other sewing skills, and her work was often showcased in various publications. She was a dedicated member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, PA, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and belonged to the Charismatic Prayer Group. An avid gardener, Barbara was a charter member of the Sellersville Garden Club. She volunteered for over 25 years with the Pennridge Meals on Wheels program. She is survived by four children, Justine Tomlinson, of Eagan, MN, James Jampo and his wife Staci, of LeRaysville, PA, William Jampo and his wife Sheri, also of LeRaysville, and Dominic Jampo and his wife Christine, of West Chester, PA; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Lawrence Buckner Lawrence Edwin Buckner of The Villages, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, while under the care of Cornerstone Hospice. He Was 81. Larry was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Abington. He was employed with Penn Engineering in Danboro, for 37 years as a quality control supervisor. Larry began sharing his voice in the church choir at the age of 18, which he continued throughout his life. He also enjoyed participating in barbershop chorus with The Bucks County Country Gentlemen. Other church activities included umpiring for the church softball league, cooking and serving for the Men’s Breakfast, and missionary work. Larry also served his community as a volunteer firefighter for more than 30 years at three different companies in Central Bucks County, including Midway, Doylestown, and Chalfont. He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Buckner; sons, Benjamin Buckner (Theresa), Brooke Buckner (Lori), Joseph Collins (Lidia), and Jeffrey Collins (Christine), daughter, Judith Lawrence (Joseph); brothers, Harry Buckner (Caroline), and Frank Buckner (Joan), and sister, Irene Soloman; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, H. Roy and Edith Buckner; brothers, Howard, Tom, Bob, and Albert Buckner, and his sister, Dot Binger. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901. You are invited to greet the family at 10 a.m. in the parlor. Immediately following the service, light refreshments will be served in Fellowship Hall.
